Syfy's Summer 2011 got off to a sizzling start when Haunted Collector became the channel's most watched reality series premiere of 2011, gathering 1.44 million total viewers on Wednesday, June 1 from 9-10PM (ET/PT).
Haunted Collector also drew 799,000 Adults 25-54 and 730,000 Adults 18-49, while averaging a 1.1 household rating.
Haunted Collector features a family of paranormal investigators who hunt down haunted items bedeviling their owners. For more than 30 years, eminent paranormal researcher John Zaffis has been a collector. But not of stamps, coins or comic books. He collects objects that have become home to paranormal spirits and/or energy. Each week he and his family help out someone who's being terrorized by something in their own home.
Leading off Syfy's Wednesday prime at 8PM was a special episode of Ghost Hunters with Josh Gates (Destination Truth), which scared up 1.49 million total viewers.
Hollywood Treasure, with Joe Maddalena, returned with all-new episodes from 10-11PM, amassing 910,000 total viewers.
Syfy's Summer 2011 features a new scripted programming block Monday, July 11 from 8-11PM, with Eureka returning at 8PM and Warehouse 13 at 9PM, followed by the debut of Alphas at 10PM.
On Wednesday, July 13, the third season of Ghost Hunters International begins at 9PM with Legend Quest premiering at 10PM. Premiere week concludes Friday, July 15, at 10PM as Haven returns for a second season.
