This issue opens on a scene from long ago featuring Joseph who faces his enemies. This scene adds some more detail to the religious back-story and raises some more questions about the church's involvement in the grand scheme of the Dellec story.
We cut to Dellec in jail for being at the right place, at the wrong time. He makes an ally of one inmate and inevitably enemies of others. Dellec states that he plans on leaving, and soon.
The action cuts to the office of Detective Russell talking on the phone explaining that he does not think Dellec did the crimes. Father Strayer arrives requesting that the police return Dellec's weapons, stating that they belong to the church.
Dellec has a little more confrontation with the jail's resident "kingpin" and then Dellec and his cellmate begin to hatch an escape plan.
Next we see "her" in a movie theater absorbing the soul of yet another victim. Even "she" knows that Dellec won't stay locked up for long. Switching back to the jail, we see Dellec and his cellmate hacth their plan, which involves a little payback for the "kingpin". An awesome fight sequence later and Dellec is on his way.
This issue added to the intrigue of the storyline and gave us the impression that "she" is toying with Dellec, waiting for him to eventually become worthy of a challenge. We anxiously await the next issue so we can see what happens next.
