Band: Vermin Title: Define Divine Year Released: 2009 Reviewer: Terry Bunch Rating: 7
Death metal from Holland (this is not the Vermin from Sweden) that follows the tried and true formula of heavy crunch, thrash-like speed changes and
all out brutal assault. You can hear their influence from Morbid Angel and Cannibal Corpse as well as some touches of technical prowess all mixed
together to create a fresh sounding death metal CD that will also appeal to "old school only" death metal fans.
There are major improvements over their previous effort, "A Nihilistic Swarm". The band has solidified their sound and they have become a tighter
sounding unit. While nothing groundbreaking is on this CD, "Define Divine" is a great death metal album deserving of your full attention.
Stand out tracks include "Synthetic Reality" and "Nucleus".
